Dying never looked so good!

There’s a coffin company in Poland sparking outrage in the Catholic Church due to its scandalous casket calendar, which features naked models striking some very provocative poses.

The Lindner calendar offers a promiscuous taste of death that creators claim is their black and white homage to female elegance, strength and energy, according to Central European News.

“My son had the idea of creating the company’s calendar so that we could show something half-serious, colorful, beautiful,” said company owner Zbigniew Lindner. “The beauty of Polish girls and the beauty of our coffins.”

While a casket typically symbolizes death and is often viewed in a negative light, the folks at Lindner believe their burial beauties will play a big role in changing such preconceptions.

“We wanted to show that a coffin shouldn’t be a sacred object — it’s furniture, it’s the last bed you’ll ever sleep in,” Lindner said. “Why are people afraid of coffins and not of business suits, cosmetics or jewelry?”

“It isn’t a religious symbol. It’s a product,” he added.

Once word of the racy calendar got out, the Catholic Church in Poland quickly began labeling the campaign distasteful and inappropriate, according to CEN.

A church spokesman has gone on to say that human death should be treated with “solemnity” and not mixed up with sex.
