Rhyme works with his eyes and ears, New York City cop Amelia Sachs, to gether information from trace evidence at the crime scene to nail him, or at least to predict his next move and head him off.

So far, they have only one clue: the assassin has a tattoo on his arm of the Grim Reaper waltzing with a woman in front of a coffin.

Review: Holy cow, what an awesome book! I thought the Bone Collector was good, this one’s better. Although most of the characters are the same, you feel more personal toward them all, especially Lincol and Amelia. Terrific, fast-paced plot, twists that leave you with the hair raising on the back of your nect, turns that leave you flipping the pages well after midnight (I know I did.) Added sexual tension between Lincoln and Amelia brought a whole new sizzle, and the last chapter left you with a ‘ooo-la-la’ remark. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, and I’ll be so disappointed if the rest of the series doesn’t measure up to this one. Awesome, awesome book!
